Patty took mounds of the white fluffy stuff and rolled and patted the stuff into a sphere. She used some more and made a slightly smaller sphere and put it atop the large one. Then she made a small sphere and put that on top of the medium-sized one.

Curbit was just an average to small pumpkin. Sometimes she felt smaller than she was. She'd spent her whole life, all summer and midway into autumn trying so hard to grow big and plump. The life purpose of a pumpkin is to be useful and Curbit believed she had to be big.
